Guest JoeRoscia Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 I need to rotate a view through a viewport in paperspace and tried to use the mvsetup command but LT doesn't recognize that command. Any ideas how I can do it? Thanks! Quote
ReMark Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 Does LT recognize the system variable VPROTATEASSOC? If so, set the value equal to 1. Another option would be to use the PLAN command and change the UCS. Quote
rkent Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 Does LT recognize the system variable VPROTATEASSOC? If so, set the value equal to 1. To add to the above, once that setting is verified, while in the layout rotate the viewport. You won't be in the viewport you will need to grab the viewport itself and rotate it. Quote
Dana W Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 I got an "unknown command" when I tried VPROTATEASSOC (and VPORTATEASSOC) in my 2009 LT. However, dinking the F1 key provided the following information. You can rotate an entire view within a layout viewport by changing the UCS and using the PLAN command. (it mentions to make sure the current ucs is parallel to the viewing plane first) With the UCS command, you can rotate the XY plane at any angle around the Z axis. When you enter the PLAN command, the view rotates to match the orientation of the XY plane. NoteThe ROTATE command rotates individual objects only and should not be used to try to rotate a view. rkent Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 The VPROTATEASSOC is new for 2012. (or maybe 2011) Quote
