My viewports are on acid!!!!

Recommended Posts

I've never seen this before and I don't know how it happened. When I'm in paperspace setting up my viewports, after the scale has been set and I'm not actually IN a VP (i.e. no VPs are active) if I pan the paperspace up and down, the image in the VP zooms in and out. It doesn't matter if the VP scales are locked or not, either way does the same thing.

To further explain, if the page is centered vertically in the screen, and I have two VPs stacked (i.e. horizontally), if I pan up the top VP zooms in, and if I pan down the bottom VP zooms in while the top VP returns to its normal scale.

What the heck is going on here?!? I wish I had a video to record this so you don't think that I'm the one on acid.

I think I know what you mean as I have had something similar happened to me before.

I am in paper space and the viewports is locked and as I zoom in the size of the object in that viewport changes.

I do think it's CAD on acid but have decided only parts of it are effected since I can have a second viewport of nearly the exact same thing and it doesn't do it.

If you figure something out let me know. I would love a solution to the problem.

This one was really weird and it wasn't only on one sheet or even a single VP. It was happening on every VP on every sheet, regardless of lock status. I found a fix though (I think). We panned the sheet so the page was all the way at the top and the VP zoomed in really close to the object and wanted to see if it would print that way (i.e. with the object in the VP enlarged). When we went to preview the plot, it looked normal and even plotted normally, and AutoCAD came down from it's acid trip. No more funky VPs.
