cjpassoc
:(I am a long time user of Autocad and now upgrading to MEP. I cannot find that Plumbing piping, other than waste piping is available in 3D. Any help will be appreciated.
tzframpton
Assuming you are from the United States, here's what you do. Start a new drawing and when the "Select Template" dialog box opens, select the "Aecb Model (US Imperial Ctb).dwt" template file. This template file has a lot of Pipe Systems already created, although there are a ton more in can import and if there's a rare specialty pipe system that AutoCAD MEP doesn't already have created, you can always make your own. All of the Piping Systems are created and stored in the Style Manager (link): http://exchange.autodesk.com/autocadmep/enu/online-help/search#WScedd0d2069f88934100ab23fa25670b49-8000.htm Once you open up the Style Manager, look under Piping Objects > Pipe System Definitions. These are where your default Pipe Systems are located, such as chilled water, steam piping, condensate piping, etc. So all you do to "draw pipes" with any one of these systems is start the Pipe command under the Home tab. Before you pick your first point, look at the Properties Palette and under "System", simply select which piping system you want to use from the drop down list. That's it.
