It rotates on the base point (whether you chose a new base point or had a grip to use) when you copy, you dont need the rotate option if you have a basepoint (grip at right location or choose basepoint then copy). lamensterms Posted September 14, 2016 Share Posted September 14, 2016 I know, I also mentioned that when I actually choose an option from the grip menu that the rotate option isn't available. Nothing seems to work so I'll leave it at that. Try this... 1. Select object to display grips. 2. Click a grip. 3. Enter 'R' then 'enter' at command line. 4. The 'grip rotate' command should now be active, and you can set base point, copy rotate, etc. The above is tested and working on ACAD2014. One thing I found, the 'hit enter twice while grip is active' part of the previous instructions ended up just executing the previous command. The steps above will circumvent that issue.
