Copy all settings, workspaces and data to new PC

I have been asked to do a workshop away from our offices and have been issued with a laptop.

My only issue is that I would like to copy all my settings, workspaces (including toolbars), plotter settings and drawing template files (.dwt) files from my desktop to the laptop.

What is the best way to do this?

Any Hints Tips and Suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Many Thanks

"Best" is a subjective term: Do you mean "easiest" or most "comprehensive" ... the two are mutually exclusive to an extent.

The "most" comprehensive would be to copy these things manually, including all files, registry settings, cuix / mnl / lsp / dcl / arx / dll / etc files of your addons / customizations, etc. etc. etc.

The "easiest" would be to use the Migrate Custom settings applet installed with ACad. Sorry I don't have 2010, but my 2011 has such in the Windows Start menu under the AutoDesk / AutoCAD 2011 / Migrate Custom Settings group there are "Export AutoCAD 2011 Settings", "Import AutoCAD 2011 Settings" and "Migrate from a previous release".

Note though that for stuff like shared folders at the office I'd recomment to setup windows offline files for your laptop. That way even the DWG's would "sync" each time you reconnect to the office's server.
