ripgrif Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 When I work in modelspace, the lines on layer 0 turn white after I have done some text editing and then panned away. The only way to get them back to default colors is to switch to paperspace and then come back to modelspace. It is only changing the display color on the monitor. The colors are still set in the layer controls. I am using Architecture 2009. Quote
ReMark Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 The lines on layer "0" are supposed to be white. That is the default setting. If you are over-riding the layer color that is considered a bad practice. Quote
ripgrif Posted January 26, 2012 Author Posted January 26, 2012 Unfortunately I have inherited this dilemma. This is the way the company has always done it, and we have 100's of block with layer 0 set to red. Quote
ReMark Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 So other than not appearing correctly, at times, on screen does it affect anything else? If not then I wouldn't worry too much about it. Quote
SLW210 Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Sounds like a graphics problem. What are your specifications? I override layer colors all the time. Quote
ReMark Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 And I ride my bicycle 1) without a helmet and 2) against the flow of traffic. I guess we both like to live life dangerously. LOL Quote
ripgrif Posted January 27, 2012 Author Posted January 27, 2012 We have several color overrides as well. I guess the big issue is because it is layer 0. I think we will just live with it until we have time to update all of our blocks. I had someone else try it on their version of 2012 and it did the same thing. Thanks for your comments. Quote
SLW210 Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Could you post part of the file here? I would like to check it out. Quote
