hazardman Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 i've been experiencing this problem over quite a few versions now (including architecture 2008 & 2009 and vanilla 2009) and have never come accross a solution but thought i'd go ahead and post this here anyway ... when i wblock (or even use export to autocad on my architecture version) entites in a metric drawing the display of the ltscale in that wblocked drawing gets messed up... the source drawing has the following settings: measureinit = 1 measurement = 1 units = mm ltscale = 100 (as an example) psltcale = 0 celtscale = 1 all paperspace tabs have the same above settings so that ps uses the ltscale of model space... when the ms entites get blocked out the linetype only appears properly in ms when the ltscale is set to 1 rather then the 100 from the source file...but changing it to 1 affects how paper space displays the ltscale scale which would now be incorrect...to fix it i need to change the ltscale back to 100 but then the model space is now incorrect... this is truly an annoying behaviour as this does not happen with imperial drawings... it's as if autocad changes something in the linetype file, embed in the drawing, that is inverse the ms ltscale value but for only model space!..i've also tried reloading the linetype from the approproate acadiso.lin file to no avail... anyway, i'm attaching a sample source file and the blocked out version for you peeps to take a look at to see if there's something that can be done to stop my head scratching... i guess i should try to submit this "bug" to autodesk but i am not on subscription and am unaware of any other way to reach them (unless thru my reseller?)... any thoughts would be appreciated... hm original.dwg blocked out.dwg Quote
Commandobill Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 So if changing the ltscale in model space to 1 makes it look correct then do that. Then change your psltscale to 1 and go in the viewport and regen. They should be the same. It worked for me on your drawings so let me know how it goes. Quote
Commandobill Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 So after further investigation (fiddling around with it). I realized the difference between the two drawings was the msltscale. Change the one in the "blockedout" drawing to 0. Keeping the ltscale at 100. A new drawing is always set to 0. I dont know why but when you created the block the variable was changed to 1. So ignore my last post and go with this one. Thank you and have fun in Canada Quote
hazardman Posted October 23, 2008 Author Posted October 23, 2008 beauty!..thanks as i was never aware of this variable... much appreciate the well wishes too...lol... Quote
