Honda Matt Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 I have set up my standard commands to use a certain layer, ie ~Dimension command swithces to my Dimension layer ~Leader command switches to my Text layer I don't have my Line command set to any layer. I switch layers before drawing a line. I like drawing lines on different layers as needed. I don't like the default to be the Object layer. Is it possible to have a pop menu open when I select a command to choose a layer? I would like to set a second line command with that feature. Thanks Matt Quote
jgbgod Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Huh? Do you mean the layer properties menu? Quote
BIGAL Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 A couple of different ways you can have a toolbar or menu that has the object preset pick and get change layer now draw a line. ^c^c-la s kerb Line The other way is to pick an existing object and the command is issued to create a new object exactly the same its uses a lisp trying to find original post here maybe at Theswamp. I think it was called copy object.lsp. Quote
tzframpton Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 The absolute best way is to simply use Tool Palettes. Just drag/drop the LINE command from the CUI over to a Tool Palette. Right-click > Properties the newly placed Line Tool. From there, you can preset to what Layer you want it on. Copy/Paste the Line Tool as many times as needed on the Tool Palettes, and continue to add the necessary layers. Quote
