I have the same problem.

I don't draw isometric dimensions very often. When I do, I can't remember which direction to oblique or the direction to lean the text.

After a bit of playing, I saved a drawing of isometric dims.

I just copy and modify these. It's a bit of stuffing around but so is playing with oblique and trying to remember again

Just select the dimension, and go to the Properties box and put in the angle you want it to "lean" to under Oblique angle.

Also to oblique the texts, you might want to create text styles which has an Oblique angle of +30 degrees and -30 degrees, one text style for each angle.

Well you can use the mouse to point to the direction of the angle you want. when it asks you what angle, just use a 2-point click with POLAR settings to a 30 degree increment in the direction you want the dimension to lean, and viola. :)
