Aardvark Posted October 23, 2008 Share Posted October 23, 2008 This is because the program crashed and Inventor made an attempt to save your data. What you need to do is rename the ORIGINAL file (i.e. add a letter to the file name, anything will work.), then remove the .newver extension from the new file so that the file name is the same as the original file that you just changed. Open the new file and you should be good to go. Sometimes the data is too corrupted to retrieve and this does not work. In that case, retrieve a copy from the oldversions folder and start over.
