Good day all. I uploaded a lisp file into AC 2012 and it shows that it uploaded sucessfuly. However when I go to run the routing i get the error message 'error: bad character read (octal): 4' Can anyone help?

Hey Lee, thx for your help. The file is saved in that manner with encoding set to ANSI. Still not working

Have you edited the file using Wordpad or Word or other such programs, as these will add control characters to the file, causing errors.

It is a compiled VLX file whose extension has been changed to .lsp

 

Change the extension to .vlx and try it.

 

Did you not think the content was unlike any other LISP file you have seen?!?

Im very new to lisp routines. In fact this one the first one i ever used. I have the vlx file as well and it doesnt work either... :-(
