civil 3d line work missing when converting to older version

We use civil 3d and some older versions of cad when ever we try and save a dwg from civil 3d to an older version some of the line work does not show up.

 

Do I need to export the dwg?

The short answer: Yes

 

Civil 3D objects are not backwards compatible which is why Autodesk added the Export function to older versions.

You will want to Export as AutoCAD.
