Casusa Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Hi. I've aplied some materials like black and white granite and i think the scale is too large. Is it possible to resize it in Autocad 2012? Thanks. Quote
Raudel Solis Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 oh yes it is let me launch Autocad 2012 ... under the rendering tab if your using Autodesk's new GUI released with the 2010 version... you can adjust map size in two different locations that do different things... both are crucial to good renderings the first is through the material options the next is very important and useful in a lot of cases. the mapping type. easily found under the rendering tab. sevdo2000 Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 About the text of the picture1 "You will need to repeat this for both images ..." , not so necessary. You have to check "link texture transforms" (under transforms), and will be update at the both textures. Quote
Casusa Posted March 22, 2012 Author Posted March 22, 2012 Hi. Many thanks. Tow questions, it will update on objects that i've had aplied? Is it possible to load mor material on Autocad database? Quote
Casusa Posted March 26, 2012 Author Posted March 26, 2012 Hi, one question. Is it possible to assign one material just a one surface of a solid? Thanks. Quote
sevdo2000 Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 (edited) Yes, if you drag material on the face you want to apply with holding down ctrl key. Or you can choose first the face you want (with pressed ctrl key or with filters on the selection section in the home tab), then double click on the material in material palette or choose material in the properties palette. Casusa Posted March 27, 2012 Author Posted March 27, 2012 Ok sevdo200, thanks. One more question please, wich is the best way to apply materials to a tree that has hundreeds of blocks? It's too much work selecting one by one, for example leaf by leaf. Thanks. Quote
sevdo2000 Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Hm, interesting. I've never applied material on a tree . But I think if leafs are in block - you can select the leaf in the block editor the apply material (in properties palette is easier) and save changes. If they are not in blocks - just select all leafs and apply material (with the instructions from my second post here). Quote
Casusa Posted March 28, 2012 Author Posted March 28, 2012 Hi. Can you be more specific in you 1st paragraph? Thanks. Quote
ReMark Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 (edited) Apply a material to a tree, leaf by leaf, sounds like a good way to bring a system to its knees. Given the focus of the drawing would that level of detail be required? Would it also even be noticeable? Edited March 28, 2012 by ReMark foCus not foRus; I can't spell! Quote

sevdo2000 Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Took my words Remark . I think so. It will take too much resourses to calculate the scene with such a tree with these applied materials on the leafs. But for your question Casusa - If you change the leaf state (apply a material) in block and save it (if a leaf is in a block and that block is copied n-times on the branches), this change will be in all leafs ... (I struggle with english - sorry ) I'll sugest you (if it is for architecture vizualization), you can add trees, cars, people and so on with Photoshop (if you own it), or something like it free ... Casusa Posted April 30, 2012 Author Posted April 30, 2012 Hi. Why does it appears those black spots on the white sidewalk/flor. See the image attached Thanks Quote
sevdo2000 Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 I'm not sure but I've had some troubles like these, with radius ON and increased in ""GLOBAL Illumination" of "render settings" Quote
Casusa Posted April 30, 2012 Author Posted April 30, 2012 Hi thanks. Did you solve those problems? Thanks. Quote
sevdo2000 Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Yes, just turn off radius, but you can try by yourself, if your radius is turned on. Quote
Casusa Posted May 2, 2012 Author Posted May 2, 2012 Hi. Is it a command (Radius), can i type it or where it is? Thanks. Quote
sevdo2000 Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Type rpref at command line, and you be able to see this . At blue marked up is "Use radius". Hope it's the problem ... Quote
Casusa Posted May 2, 2012 Author Posted May 2, 2012 Hi. The drawing has already "Radius" off!!! More suggestions? Thanks again. Quote
