Andobear
Hi Again, I have an issue when I select File>Print>Send to 3D Print Service As I am wanting a *.stl file for rapid prototyping the model. I get this error when trying to save. I have tried putting in the file extention. It seems there is only blank when I select the drop down menu of file types. Can Anyone Help? JD Mather
Are you trying to send to a print service or simply trying to save as stl? What happens if you File>Save Copy As type *.stl from the list (be sure to click Options and set units to your document units as Inventor defaults to cm units). Andobear
Yeah i tried all that, and i didn't have all the options in the "save as" options, oly 2 or 3 file types. I think it must have been that I was on Student Version of 2012, as i have since reinstalled my full version of 2011 and all the file types are now available and the 3D printing service now works fine. Thanks
JD Mather
I think it must have been that I was on Student Version of 2012, No - that couldn't be what the problem is as the student version IS full version.
Lazer
I do not know if you know that there are a few different types of 3d prints, if you get the cheapest it will have track marks in the print and if you go the smooth finish it will cost more.
