nocturne00 Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 A bit tricky but try to use a helix as a path to either sweep or extrude a profile. ill try it myself, its similar to making the threads of a bolt Quote
nocturne00 Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Ok here's one way. 1. draw up a helix, 2. then a circle with a desired radius of those spiral carvings. 3. sweep the circle along the helix. 4. afterwards Polar Array the swept solid with the number of spiral carvings. 5. union the arrayed solids then slice the top and bottom off to have flat top and bottom edges. 6. draw and extrude a circle to fill the spiral solid. then Union em all. shift1313 Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 i was going to say the same thing as nocturn only draw all of your circles first and sweep them all at once. Quote
