dumfatnhappy
I['m using MEP 2012 and am working with a rather large file but it appears my only file choises are FBX, DWF/DWFx and when I xref/import I get a boatload of data (STB is +500mb ) and the dwf's are 35mb but the drawing is (appears) empty... anyone with experience doing this? thanks
tzframpton
Are you trying to import from Navisworks, or import into Navisworks? If so, there's a plugin for AutoCAD MEP that gives you the NWCOUT command, creating a Navisworks Cache file. This is the absolute best way to get anything from AutoCAD into Navisworks. dumfatnhappy
nope. I need an NWC-IN! all disciplines using different packages and the only collective place I can corner them is in the navisworks model.... therefore need to import it into MEP (and I'd be thrilled with just wireframe at this point). tzframpton
Can't do it the other way around that I know of. You need to get the original files.
dumfatnhappy
but that's the rub... I can't get those files into MEP (native)... PDMS is a monster all it's own (although those guys only have 2g RAM and try to export they crash) since I have 24 I'm going to see what I can do with PDMS loaded on my machine tomorrow.... always appreciate u Styk !
