clydemit
Ok so I have a drawing of a lot of buildings (not connected) at a 1:1 scale and I am trying to find the total area of all the drawings. Is there a way to export the sqft of each building to an excel sheet (or autocad table) and then add all of them to find the total sqft of buildings in the drawing? And have it automated. ReMark
Sounds like a job for a custom lisp routine of which there are thousands. Try a search at the Cadalyst magazine website or over at The Swamp.
ReMark
Start with Lee Mac's lisp routine called Area Field to Attribute then extract those attributes and populate your spreadsheet with the values. http://www.lee-mac.com/areafieldtoattribute.html
