cant see my list of layers

Hi I am using Autocad 2011 but for some reason suddenly when ever I type layer the layer dialog box comes up but I cant see any layers I reckon it must be some system variable. Can any one help.

Do you have a filter activated?

If not, please check that the option "Invert filter" (bottom, left) isn't checked.

AT work, we have run into this issue with ACAD 2011 on 64 bit machines.

 

Installing the 2 service packs has fixed this issue each time it has come up.

Right click on the tool bar up top and see if you can enable the layers toolbar. Or maybe I'm not understanding the question :-/

I've found sometimes (especially with large layer lists from xrefs) that the new Layer Palette gives strange bugs. You can always revert back to the old Modal Dialog by setting the LayerDlgMode (or using the ClassicLayer command). Although I've not found the same bugs in 2012, perhaps one of those service packs fixed the issue for 2011.
