ajteague Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I am trying to create a sequence of camera views inside a stadium. I have set up 9 cameras in different locations in the stadium, but I cannot seem to switch to different camera views when creating an animation. No keyframes are created when I change the camera in the viewport at different time frames, so nothing changes in the animation sequence. Can anyone help? Quote
Raudel Solis Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 if you make an animation .. render a video.. you must render what you want from each camera into it's own file and then compile them in post production software ... adobe.. windows movie maker.. etc.. of course.. you can also... press C to switch between cameras.. or you can select the camera.. turn on Autokey.. set a keyframe with the "Key button" .. that looks like a key.. and then move the time slider... move the camera to a new position.. and set the key frame.. of course if you do this.. the camera will travel from point A to be over the course of X key frames to prevent this you will have to go to the DOPE sheet editor and change the transition type of the camera movement second of all... you are using 3ds max right? because you got Architecture 2012 marked Quote
ajteague Posted April 25, 2012 Author Posted April 25, 2012 Yes I am using 3ds max 2012. Basically, what I am trying to do is create a walkthrough sort of thing where certain floodlights get turned off at different times, and each time a section of lights is turned off, I want the camera view to change. I am struggling to do all of this because it doesn't let me make any keyframes because there is no actual movement involved, and I can't even work out how to turn sections of lights off at different times. Raudel Solis Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 (edited) and I can't even work out how to turn sections of lights off at different times. ############## ############# ############ ########### UPDATE##### ######### tutorial will be live on youtube here.. trouble.... i used adobe after effects as the compiling software BECAUSE.. the recording software saves .avi files... as you know .avi files are limited to a maximum of 4gb in size..which is why i had multiple clips took them into after effects, compiled.. and rendered the video frame by frame @ 45fps.. once it was finished .. no audio... -___-... lets go old fashioned... i downloaded windows live essentials and used windows movie maker ... video+sound @ 1600*900 Edited April 26, 2012 by Raudel Solis Quote
3Dshamyr Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 when you render, did you use a physical cam? just like vrayphysical cam instead of perspective? Quote
Raudel Solis Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 when you render, did you use a physical cam? just like vrayphysical cam instead of perspective? yes i used an Actual camera object meaning i went to create 1, applied my key frames, and then made sure it was set to render the camera view.
