Converting CAD Files to PDF with proper Lineweights

I'm having problems plotting to PDF's and maintaining the line weights etc.. that I get when I print to my plotter. It seems like Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 converts based on the color of my pens.... the lighter color value i.e. yellow, the lighter the grey tone. white is darkest. It ignores my lineweight settings, so I have no control on the quality of the output. Is it possible to get it to use the .ctb files that my plotter uses when creating it's PDF? I'm using AutoCAD LT 2010.

In my Page setup Manager I've selected the ctb pens that I want to use. However, I'm not 100% sure they're set up as they should be as I'm not an AutoCAD guru.

Thanks Big Al. isn't night time in Aussieland?

In Plot dialog box, in right side of Plot Style pop-up list you will find an "Edit..." button; use it to see the settings inside selected CTB. Then, in Form View tab you find a list with all indexed colors – select them one by one to check their associated color (should be black if you are willing to print in black-and-white), respectively lineweight.

To have access to all plot styles installed for your user call STYLESMANAGER command.

Also, please keep in mind that only indexed colors are printed using setup from CTB; this feature isn't available for true and book colors.
