pc hang enable to render

hi friends,

iam using 3ds max 2010 in windows 7 ultimate 64bit.

8gb ram, 500gb HDD and core i3 with nvidia geforce 512mb graphic card but while rendering any small object in 3ds max with vray my cpu suddenly go to 100% and it will be hang and some times render is complete in 2 hours.

please help me to recover this problem.

Can you post an example of what you're rendering?

 

Also, what are your render settings?

 

You wouldn't happen to be rendering on a laptop would you?

Is hardware exceleration on? Look at the bottom right hand sind/ You should see a number of icons. Hover the mouse over the one with the chip and lightbulb next to it. It will say whether it's on or off. Click on it if it is off and in the caption check both options that are available. Had to remove company stuff on cut out sections.

My rig has 8gb RAM, 1TB Hardrive, Nvidia I5 quad core and GeForce 670. Yours should be ok.

He is using Studio Max, not Autocad. And I'm guessing he probably got it figured out since this thread was posted back in June of last year. ;)
