geoffrey Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Hello Everyone! Perhaps one of you could help me with a problem that I am having. The situation is this: In an assembly file I have two hinges one of them is fastened to a framework on one side and a panel on the other, the other is fastened to the other end of that panel and to another panel on the other side. This forms a bi-fold door the last panel of which has a roller that runs in a curved track in the framework. The Problem Is: when I try to move the roller along the track(having placed a transitional constraint) the display freezes and the program stops responding for about 3 minutes after which everything seems normal. Changing from hardware to OpenGL drivers had no effect, What is going on? Does anyone have an idea? I am stumped! Geoff Quote
Lazer Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 the displayfreezes and the program stops responding for about 3 minutes Never had that problem, what spec is the machine, do you have enough memory? can you post the model and I will check it this end. Quote
geoffrey Posted November 4, 2008 Author Posted November 4, 2008 Lazer, The machine in question is a dual core, about 2.5 ghz speed with 2 gigabyte of memory installed, that leaves me with about 600 megabytes when the SQL server is running. Should be more than enough, the problem might lie with the graphics card which is a fast and powerful ATI - but not Autocad certified. That being said I think the problem was a dumb mistake that I made in applying two transitional constraints that were not co-planer at thier junction. Drawing works as intended now, this is probably the trouble with self-education! Geoffrey Quote
