irneb Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I can't imagine having 255 layouts let alone 400. It boggles the mind. The most I've ever had is 15 on a set of edge-sections (there were 160 edge sections to a 12 level building at 1:50. It was just a lot simpler drawing them all in one model space, since many portions of each section would simply be duplicates of each other). But I must say, having large numbers of layout tabs slows down the drawing. I ended up splitting that drawing into 3 (one base and the other 2 xreffing it in) with 5 tabs each in order to make it work faster. Quote
ReMark Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I think the most tabs, including model space, that I have had in one drawing was seven. That was on a recent roof extension project over an existing tank farm. Quote
Murph_map Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 The Plan & Production tools in Civil3D aslo creates layouts automaticly. If you have a roadway design and want cross sections or a profile of it you have the option to create seperate paprerspace layouts or seperate dwgs of it. With a road 1 mile long and crosssections every 10 feet those layouts can add up as well. Quote
