Inserting an Excel Spreadsheet as a block or image

Hey there all.

First off thanks for all the great info and help. For anyone new out there, this is a great resource.

I'm one step up from being a beginner but not that far off. I'm using AutoCAD LT 2004 and working with a 2D dwg of a warehouse.

I would like to insert some specs from an Excel spreadsheet and keep the colums and rows with their headers and so forth without having to type in a multi-line text insert. Idealy I would like to just do a cut and paste so it is just an image, kinda like if I cut out a piece of paper and laid it on top of my dwg.

So far when I do a copy/paste all that comes over is the text and it is out of format. Any ideas?

This may be a crazy idea

Do a screenshot. When in Excel hit PrtScn (printscreen)

In acad ctrl+v

With a screenshot you get all of the screen and not just the table. This won't be a problem if you use viewports to only look at the table

If you want only the table bring it in microsoft paint first and trim off the stuff you dont want. Save it as table1.bmp

In autocad insert raster image table1.bmp
