Line type

My Line type is dashed but when I draw the line it looks like a continuous line

 

what setting do I need to change to get the spacing so it looks correct?

This is what I use.

 

MSLTSCALE = 1

LTSCALE = 0.5 (you can tweek this to your own needs, usually between 0.3 and 1 works for most)

PSLTSCALE = 1

Make sure your current linetype is ByLayer and not Continuous. If you override the linetype, it won't matter what you assign to the layer.
