ReMark Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 You cannot import a .SKP file to AutoCAD. Perhaps you are thinking of a .STP file. Quote
f700es Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 That's not completely true anymore. There is an import SKP (SketchUp) plug-in for AutoCAD 2013 and vertical products. It is a free plugin that you can get from AutoDesk Exchange in the apps section. Quote

Eva_2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Author Posted October 2, 2012 Thank for all the reply. Well, in fact it´s a .skp File who show the House inclusive something like furniture and doors/windows. I think i also read about a tool for import .skp Files in to AUTO Cad Architecture but i also read about after import can´t do a floor plan from it. I could send the skp File via E Mail if anybody would like to help me with the floor plan. Best Regards Eva Quote
f700es Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 OK here is the truth, yes you can import the SketchUp file into 2013 AutoCAD and AutoCAD Arch, no problem there. No this will not be a native AutoCAD file after that and if you want to use AutoCAD Arch's design tools you will need to re-do the drawing. You could use the imported SKP file as a reference file and draw over it. I posted my e-mail above, send it to me. I'll be glad to take a look at it. Quote
Eva_2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Author Posted October 2, 2012 Thank you so much for have a look and for your work on it. But... if you want to use AutoCAD Arch's design tools you will need to re-do the drawing. You could use the imported SKP file as a reference file and draw over it. ....this exactly is my Problem. I can not use it in ACAD Architecture without the knowledge:oops:. Could you help me by draw the Grid by floor(Concrete Columns /Footing/Floor +Ceilings/Roof as dwg File? Regards Eva Quote
f700es Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Please don't take this the wrong way but if you can't do this for them why are they asking you to do it? I wouldn't ask a friend to fix my car if they aren't a mechanic. Quote

SLW210 Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 You can use Inventer Fusion (FREE, SEE THIS) to import an .skp file and save as .dwg. Quote
f700es Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 I can't check at the moment but I think AutoDesk 123D can do this as well. Quote
SLW210 Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 I can't check at the moment but I think AutoDesk 123D can do this as well. Supposed to be able to open .skp, but my Autodesk 123D crashes. Opens .dwg just fine. Quote
f700es Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 I have the current Beta 9 installed and it opened a SKP just fine (small one) and saved as a DWG for me as well. Be aware that with Beta 9 you will have to log in to your AutoDesk account for the extended save as file options to be there. Quote
SLW210 Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 I'll have to see if I have the latest version. Quote
f700es Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 123D brought in the textures I had in the SKP file. Quote
