RobDraw Posted October 23, 2012 Share Posted October 23, 2012 What do you mean by locked? Is it read only or opened by somebody else? Arty Posted October 23, 2012 Author Share Posted October 23, 2012 I loaded it into my drawing. Then tried to edit some text in the xref while it was loaded in the drawing, but it woulden't let me. It said that it had a file lock...? Today, I tried it all again and now there's no problem! No idea what happened, but it all works fine now !?! RobDraw Posted October 24, 2012 Share Posted October 24, 2012 With it set to 2 you are no longer referencing the XREF file but a temporary copy of that file in a different location. Reference manager is disabled for XREFs when it is set to 2. If it wasn't disabled, you would editting a copy of the XREF and the changes would not be seen in other files referencing it.
