If you draw it up in 3D you have the four standard isometric views to pick from as well as the option to rotate the model anyway you want.

JDM: Have you given up on providing any further assistance to sean?

Posted

Sean, is this something you are required to draw in 2D isometric? If so then the wire locks are going to be virtually impossible. Have you got a decent Acad instruction book that covers the basics such as osnaps and command line prompts? Never fear, it gets easier

Try to give specifics on where you are stuck and people will try to help you along.

PS...whilst the world is indeed not flat, I imagine that being patronised wasn't particularly helpful. This is the beginners forum (why I spend alot of time here!) have patience with posters!

Were you given instructions that specifically said to draw everything in isometric or just to provide an isometric view? There is a difference...subtle as it may be.

Sean, glad to hear you got the job done. By the way, I was sticking up for you in what I said.

It looks pretty good, place your viewports on a no-plot layer so they won't show when printing.

Thanks. the final version looked much better when i printed it out on a plotter. I did also fix the viewports.
