Rollmop
Hello, I am trying to produce a model for 3D printing. I have created a structure is primatives that is now fairly complex. When I try and produce an STL a large number of the parts are removed. Is this because there are not watertight? if so how can I fix it? Is simpley the way I am producing the model? JD Mather
Post an example of a part that is removed (you can delete everything else in the dwg file). Your parts must be Solids in AutoCAD to export out to stl.

Cad64
I'll add it as an attachment it wont upload is there a size limit? Its about 2.5 meg Yes, there is a limit. See here: http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?61261-cad-file-upload-limitation&highlight=file+size+limit If you can't upload your file here in the forum, put it up on a file sharing site and post a link to it here. JD Mather
Its about 2.5 meg This is hard to believe. Sounds to me like you are trying to load the entire project. Is every one of those "parts" that disappear that large - or is one of them significantly smaller. I only need one example.
Rollmop
its a complex model that why I want to print it in 3D It seems a little hit a miss what gets made in an STL and what does not. Try an STL export and see what you get. Can you see if its basically the way I am constructing the model is the first problem or is it process further down the line
