reducha Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Hello everyone! Newbie here with very first question. I am working on a construction drawing. It's a reflected ceiling plan. The area is large, it's a large commercial building. Some areas have gypsum ceilings and some areas have none. I would like to colorize the areas with the gypsum ceilings only. Any thoughts? Thank you. Quote
MSasu Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I believe that you should look for HATCH command with Solid pattern. Quote
reducha Posted January 18, 2013 Author Posted January 18, 2013 Thank you. Can you break that down a little simpler? How do i start? Like how do i select the area i want to insert a color into first? Before i do hatch command. AutoCad 2009 Thank you Quote
MSasu Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 You may want to check this tutorial on hatch usage. Quote
BIGAL Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 After working out hatch solid sometimes changing its transparency level is a good idea to lighten the colour. Quote
Dana W Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Don't look for transparency in hatches with Autocad 2009. It isn't there. Quote

MSasu Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Is about the tutorial on 3rd. reply? It works without issues for me. It may be that there is a filter active for your network? Quote

No,,not the 3D link,,just the first one,,though you're probably right,,i clicked on them both, and nothing happened. I"m not sure i know anything about my network,,though,,i am in Saudi Arabia,,but i'm not sure if they would filter that. Hmmmmm Quote
ReMark Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Perhaps you can tone down a solid hatch when it comes time to print. Put the hatch on its own layer then screen it. You'll have to edit your CTB or STB plot style. Quote
