AMEP - How to get directly to Device Style Dialog?

In AMEP, Electrical, does anyone know how i can get straight to the Select a style dialog after picking a device on the Tool Palette? I would like to have a button or a command so I don´t have to click the device-icon on the Property Palette every time to choose a device...

Hope this makes sense, I am a beginner.. :)

As far as I know you cannot. The same is true for ductfittings and pipefittings. What you can do however is create a tool and place it on your tool palettes that will start the device add command with the correct style. There are several already there in the out of the box tool palettes. You can copy and paste one of them and change the properties by right clicking on the tool palette object and choosing properties. (Basic skills needed)

Your other option is to use the command line to add a device and select the style. You can then create a custom command via the CUI editor or via lisp that will mimic the command line options. (Advanced skills needed)

Your last option is to learn a programming language for autocad to create the custom command your self using .net or c++. (Super duper top secrect really Advanced stuff).

Thanks for the quick answer, this is an incredible forum!

I know how to make buttons and macros, was just hoping there was a command to bring up the dialog without that extra click.

.NET or C++ would be nice, if i just had the time to learn it.. :)

Thanx again
