hlk Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 hello, i've been searching this forum for quite some time now and haven't come across any threads that alleviate this problem... I need help determining the scale of a drawing I got from the internet in ratio form. the drawing itself has a little scale bar in the corner, however, since i do not know the measurements of the actual structure i have no reference point and therefore cannot figure out the scale in ratios. I read on here that you can use general reference point such as the average dimensions of a door/window ceiling etc. but the drawing is a longitudinal section of a church, namely, Temppeliaukio kirkko, which has no 'standard' dimensions. I need this drawing in 1:100 any ideas? i'm a complete beginner I'm sure you can tell.. Quote
97catintenn Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Your reference point is the scale included in the photo. Scale the whole image (with the included scale)...base point= click anywhere outside of pic...the type R for reference...click on your scale at zero then again at 20...the command line will ask you for the distance and enter 20 Make sure you have your units set up to meters first. I guess then you could to drawing utilities under the big A and change it the 1:100 Quote
hlk Posted February 17, 2013 Author Posted February 17, 2013 Great! thank you, I did what you said, the dims for the scale bar is now 2000mm and the drawing utilities is set Quote
