dermott brunton
I was attempting to copy and paste an object that was drawn on a scale of 1:1. I don't know how but it magnified many times , I am guessing eight. I dont know what I done but when i checked previous commands it said Command: _scale 8 found. Now if I could learn to do this and control it I would find it extremely useful. Any ideas anyone?
tzframpton
The message simply means it scaled eight separate objects. There's no way to check what something was scaled at if you used a method where you didn't input the exact number to scale the objects. You can use the Reference sub-command once you execute the Scale command which can be extremely useful depending on the situation. Other than that you need to input a literal value, either by typing or using the distance in which you drag your cursor.
RobDraw
There is a scale option when pasting. Type "S" before picking the insert point. Also, "R" works for rotate.
CyberAngel
If you copied from one drawing to another, it's possible that the two drawings have different units settings. For instance, if one is inches and the other feet, your objects would show up 12 times larger.
