disbanded Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Having an issue with leaders in Autocad Architecture 2012. I add leaders to my drawings and everything is just wonderful. Save and close. When I reopen the drawing, some, if not all of the leaders have turned to dimension ticks. I have to change one to an arrow and then match properties. Total pain in the butt and a huge waste of time. My dimension style is the same 'architectural' style that I have always used. I don't change styles from leader to leader, but I still have them changing on me. And the weirder thing is that it only happens in a few drawings. The majority of my plans don't have this problem. Today I opened a drawing and 1 leader out of all of them had turned to a tick. I added 2 leaders to this 1 particular piece of text - and one leader stayed an arrow and the other changed to a tick. It's definitely got me confused. And here's another issue I ran into. When I have to flip plans, some of the text flips, but some of it will not. The problem text is always oriented vertically, and it doesn't flip with the rest of the plan and text. I have to go thru and rotate and match properties. Here's the weird thing. It doesn't happen to every piece of text that is vertical, only some, unsually at the front half of the house. Really strange. And of course all text is the same. Thanks for any help you can give. Quote
RobDraw Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Sounds like the house is haunted. LMAO! Can you post a sample drawing that is misbehaving? Also, please tell us the steps you are using to add the leaders that change. Quote
disbanded Posted March 13, 2013 Author Posted March 13, 2013 I have attached an example of my problem below. When I am working with the plan, I use the leader command to create a leader (LE), same as always. My leaders are set to be closed arrows, always use the same dim style. I insert the leaders and it looks perfect. But the problem is when I shut down the drawing - the next time I open it the leaders are ticks. It's a little tough to see, but all of the leaders are architectural ticks. Example Quote
RobDraw Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Sorry, can't help with just an image. I should have said to post the .dwg file. Quote
SLW210 Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Are there any dimstyle overrides showing up when you check your dimstyle? Quote
