brannin
Hi I'm working on a 3d model in autocad architect 2013 for a college project, and I'm having real trouble getting materials on like I want them to. I've been trying to learn, but I'm running out of time. 10 hours till deadline.. So I tried importing the drawing to sketchup, but I only get a few lines, no where near the whole drawing. Have been trying to clean up layers and saving the file in earlier versions etc. but to no awail. Is there anyone out there who can help me? Either by telling me if there's a real simple solution, or by importing and saving the file for me. It's 3:30 at night where I'm at, so no help asking the teachers.. f700es
To get a drawing into SketchUp from AutoCAD arch you will need to be in a 3d view and then select export to AutoCAD. If you are in a top view and try this you will get a flat file. SketchUp cannot view the AutoCAD arch items without an export to a vanilla AutoCAD file. Good luck
