the downing effect Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 I'm using AutoCAD 2011, is there a way to have the all the line drawings that are generated in model space put onto a flat surface without having to rotate and move them individually? Also I tried using Qselect and linetype to quickly consolidate all of the layers, however it wouldn't allow me to do so is going through the layer manager the best option? I'm trying to avoid there being repetitive layers of hidden, continuous and hatched lines or better yet is there an option when using running solview/solbase to automatically have that result instead of multiple layers per view? ReMark Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Don't you mean SolView and SolDraw? Have you looked into using the Base View feature? Quote
Dadgad Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 (edited) Your profile says using Autocad 2012, but in 2011 there was no VIEWBASE command. In 2012 you would want to use VIEWBASE. You might want to consider SOLPROF. Edited May 13, 2013 by Dadgad Quote
JD Mather Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 ...and in 2012 if you use the command line rather than ribbon icons, the command is viewbase. Quote
Dadgad Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Right you are, as usual JD, and I must be more tired than I thought.! Quote
the downing effect Posted May 14, 2013 Author Posted May 14, 2013 I have 2012 at home but I have 2011 at work. I prefer the viewbase command thats in the newer releases, hopefully we upgrade soon. It is the solview soldraw commands, sorry for the confusion. I will try solprof. Thanks Quote
