Copy paste with base point!!

Hi there, I hope someone can help me!

Here is the problem, I have been using copy paste with base point on block from drawing to drawing but sometimes the block insert but it is not showing. I go to insert block is there but does not show in the drawing. Then tried to purge it and it does not let me because it is in the drawing but I can find it any where. Then I tried to do the insert block look for the block and inserted as a block and the same result. I can't solve this issue. If can someone can help me. I will be greatly appreciated.

Often a layer is frozen in the drawing so when you paste the objects they are immediately frozen.

Other times the base point is miles away from the other objects on screen so check to see how far from 0,0 you are in each drawing.

Good luck.

Also be aware that if you are using a UCS, then the base point might be in the WCS.

You can also run the LIST command immediately after performing the paste/insert command, then when it asks for a selection, use "L" for the last entity.

If the block name shows up as the last entity, you know it's there somewhere.

You can also run the ZOOM command, Object suboption, then use "L" for last entity - this will zoom you to the last added entity.
