Chuck Fullofbourbon Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 I have a 3d image of a connector and I just want to use it as part of a 2d spec sheet I am making of a cable assembly. How do I "flatten" it? Right now it looks like a wire frame in a 2d viewer but has the properties of a solid object when I am viewing in 3d in AC2009. Quote
Chuck Fullofbourbon Posted May 28, 2013 Author Posted May 28, 2013 Not getting it... Exported to illustrator and was able to save as dwg and bring it back into AC. Thanks for the help none the less Quote
ReMark Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 AutoCAD 2009? You could try the SOLPROF command. Another, and perhaps better option, would be the FLATSHOT command. Quote
tzframpton Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 AutoCAD Mechanical 2009 should have some fancy schmancy tools for generating 2D representations of 3D components I would assume. SECTION command at the very least, unless it wasn't available in 2009. Quote
