hay123 Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Hi, I recently upgraded from AutoCad map3d 2006 to Map 3d 2009. I installed autocad, and everything seemed o.k. While going through online tutorials, I found some buttons were missing (2d/3d at bottom of map screen) after about 2 full days searching the internet to try and figure out how to use my new toy, I decided there may have been a problem with install, and I ran a repair on the program. AutoCad restarts, completly differently, missing buttons are there. I think previous set-up was more like standard Autocad, and repair gave me the map functions I was missing. I seem to have a problem with the ribbon now though. I have gone to cui file, and created new setup with some ribbon options on. They are checked, all is ok. But no ribbon is displayed on screen. I have just finished running re-install on program, no luck. Am about to re-do service pack updates, and just wanted to throw my problem out there for some help......... Quote

hay123 Posted January 13, 2009 Author Posted January 13, 2009 Hi, I recived a very delayed message from Acad help a few days ago, as they had been delayed due to holidays. They told me to unistall microsoft .net framework 3 (something like that I'm not at work today, and don't have access to work emails) then reinstall & to install windows updates. Tech said he thought it was a corrupt install though & I would probably need to run uninstall & install again. I ran .net install + updates as asked, but didn't get a chance to follow up any further. I have previously uninstalled, installed, repaired etc.. etc.. my Acad programe numerous times now though, and am pretty sure I will need further assistance. I will hopfully get a chance tomorrow to look at, and will definatly get back here with any solutions. Let me know if you have any. Quote
hay123 Posted January 18, 2009 Author Posted January 18, 2009 Hi, I have resolved my ribbon issue this morning. YIPPY Something simple of course which makes me feel like a goose, but I can't be expected to be clever & good looking. Menu - tools - paletts - ribbon (show or hide) Silly me. In my defence ribbon was hidden on program install. Quote
