Hi.. i dont know what i am doing wrong working on 3D..

There are not too many objects. One layer only..

i have some blocks and for combining some objects i used union...

i applied different materials, Sun properties etc it doesn't take time to render but to edit or even a single click on objects make them very slow..

i saw the file size, it was 550MB..

i purged them and used overkill command so it reduced to 450MB now...

Please guide to solve the issue as i have an important project to complete..

Thank you

Just saying there are "not too many objects" doesn't tell us much. You might have one extremely huge and complicated part that is causing all the problems. And "One layer" doesn't mean anything either. You could have the entire planet earth on only one layer. Can you post a screenshot of your scene so we can see what you've done?

Also, when you started this project, did you start with a fresh new drawing file or did you reuse an old file?

You might want to run an AUDIT to check for errors in your file.

Thanks for your reply guys...

Here i tell you about my design..

I drew a fence of big size and there i made ornamental details like even worked on very small details of ornaments.. There is a floor and i put an image on it. There are concrete columns etc..

Hope it gave you an idea what i drew..

Can you guys tell me what desreases the file size? What if i block all the objects or union em all?

Would it give me some speed to work on?

But right now i cant even change the view to see 3D as it takes times to change the view..

How do i clean this mess :(

Btw im workin with millimeters and the total fence i drew is 20 meters long

How is a fence made in the real world?

I'll bet you have many multiples of the same part copied you your dwg.

I recommend that you only have one simple dwg file of each component.

Then start a new dwg for the assembly (or sub-assembly) and x-ref the individual component files (or sub-assemblies) as needed into the master assembly file.

I'll bet this really speeds things up - and is more representative of the real world.
