OMEGA-ThundeR 11 Posted December 12, 2013 Hi, I am wondering if it is possible with an 3D autocad design to make a 'free roam' kind of walk through the design. I know how to make a video clip on a set path, but lets just say you create a road and a couple of houses next to it i kinda want to walk over the road/sidewalk like it were a game. Is that possible within the autodesk software range? Or do i need to transfer a design to an game engine and go from there? Any help or tips would be appreciated . Denimoth 10 Posted December 12, 2013 If you can save your 3D model into a 3D DWF format (AutoCAD 2010 can export to that format, but not sure if 2008 can do it.), you could use Autodesk's Navisworks Freedom viewer. It's free and allows you to "walk" around the model. http://www.autodesk.com/products/autodesk-navisworks-family/autodesk-navisworks-freedom
OMEGA-ThundeR 11 Posted December 12, 2013 Thanks, and its free to . We got some Autocad packages, so i'll probably be able to export to 3D DWF.
Murph_map 10 Posted December 12, 2013 Don't know if 2009 has it but try the "3dWalk" command.
ReMark 58 Posted December 12, 2013 The 3DWalk command first made its appearance in AutoCAD 2007 I believe.
