totzky Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 I'll take note of that Dipali. But I think showing by example is the best way to help the student when it comes to situation like this. And I hope ReMark is with me? Quote
imp24 Posted December 2, 2008 Author Posted December 2, 2008 Sorry to keep you waiting, I should've replied sooner Now it makes sense, hehe. I thought I did the rectangle incorrectly by making it too big, but maybe I saw it that way because my units were not set to my needs. Fractional and Architectural are really useful, I can understand the grid that way. I attached drawing done in Acad 14. Hope you'll get something out of it. Commands I used: 1)Ctrl+N 2) DDUNITS (Set to Fractional) 3) Command: REC RECTANGLE Chamfer/Elevation/Fillet/Thickness/Width/: Other corner: @15-3/4,10-1/2 4) D (Annotation, Units on the right to Architectural. Thanks, I was having a hard time trying to figure out what units I should set to Fractional and Architectural. Well this is the whole window as I understand it. Whew! I'm a little bit rusty to Acad14. thanks, this example is very helpful. What command did you use to draw those outlines outside the window pane? I can't seem to picture it out. By posting the drawing here you have helped the student with his assignment, which is against the unwritten policy of the member's at Cad tutor. we always try to help student solve their difficulties but don't do there homeworks. Nothing to worry, this problem was supposed to be done weeks ago, it's just that I can't understand our lesson that I needed some real professional help [our professor really isn't helpful ]. I'm also having problems with the array command, it says here the spacing is 1 3/4", does that apply to both column and row spacing as well? I tried it but they ended up overlapping each other. I will also post my progress here as I'll go further, just to show you how well [or how worse] I'm going. Thanks again. Quote
ReMark Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Remark,do you realize that totzky is not the OP but like you he is trying to help so doing that drawing is not his priority, but the OP's No, but thanks for pointing that out, Dipali. That should teach me not to respond to a question or a statement until I've had my 2nd cup of coffee. Well, no slackers allowed whether you're the original poster or not. Now you've got 30 seconds. Get crackin! I wanna see windows and I wanna see lots of them! Quote
