Custom Linetype Bad Definition

Recommended Posts

I created several custom linetypes for the first time using the mkltype command. They seem to work fine in the drawing that I created them in. However when I tried to load the .lin file into another drawing to update my xref I keep getting a bad definition. It seems like CAD doesn't like the line that has the name (i.e. *NAME). I'm not sure how to get around this except for copying the line from the original drawing, which seems like a hack and I'd like to learn how to fix this.

I loaded my .lin file for reference.

Please help!

Thanks,

All your linetypes reference a text style "Styledgn001".

If that text style is not already defined in the drawing, you will get such a warning when you try to load those linetypes.

Copying a line into a drawing seems to bring the appropriate text style with it
