Chris23 Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I came in today to finish drawing a part and when I clicked on ellipse I went to draw an isocircle and I usually just click on the blue part in the command line but none of the commands were blue and able to be clicked on. It is like that for all commands, I can't click on them I have to manually type in the command. How do I go about getting them back on? Quote
RobDraw Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Can you check your terminology? Commands aren't executed by clicking on the command line, unless you are doing something I am not familiar with. They are executed by typing in the command line or clicking on the ribbon. Some options are available by clicking on the command line while a command is active, though. BTW, welcome. Quote
ReMark Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 There are clickable options (highlighted in blue) in AutoCAD 2014. Try switching Workspaces. Quote
RobDraw Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I'm on a roll today. Misread another post, replied, and made a fool of myself. Quote
RobDraw Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I still do not see any options to draw an isocircle present by just clicking on an ellipse. What workspace would those options show up in? Quote
rkent Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Close and restart AutoCAD before trying anything else. Quote
Chris23 Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 I am in the 2d drafting and annotations space, I tried switching to the autocad LT classic and that didn't help. Quote
ReMark Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Well try shutting down then restarting AutoCAD like rkent suggested. Quote
rkent Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Chris23 - make sure you are looking at the command line and not the text screen. Quote
Chris23 Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 Momma said there would be days like this. Yep that is exactly what I am looking for but mine is not clickable anymore or blue. I was thinking maybe I hit one of the function keys and turned it off but I tried that also. Quote
Chris23 Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 I am looking at the command line and I have restarted twice now to no avail. I made a new shortcut key in the cui yesterday but I would not think that had anything to do with it. Quote
ReMark Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 One last attempt before we go nuclear. Go to Options > Profiles and click on the Reset button. What new shortcut key did you create yesterday? What other mischief did you get into when you were mucking around in the CUI? Quote
Chris23 Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 I just looked and when it type in op for options the profile tab is missing. I just created another zoom shortcut key, other than that I didn't add, delete or change anything else. Quote
ReMark Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Really? There is no Profile tab under options? That's not normal. Have you tweaked the CUI in previous releases or was this your first go at it? Quote

This was my first time, my computer used to have 2013 on it then they had to roll me back to 2011. Under options I have files, display, Open and save, Plot and publish, system, user preferences, drafting, selection Quote
ReMark Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 2011? Under your screen name it says 2014. Which is it? How about we just restore the original CUI? Is this a 32-bit or 64-bit version of AutoCAD? Quote
RobDraw Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 At the top right hand corner of options should be two little triangles. click the right one to get ot profiles and other options. Quote

It is a 64 bit version Quote
