narendra Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Is it possible to create new layer using command prompt without layer properties manager............if any one knows please help me Quote
Dadgad Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Welcome to CADTutor. Alt + N will do it, though not with a command prompt, nor AT the commandline. The new layer will have the same properties as your current layer, and you will be prompted to create a new name for your new layer, after which you will probably want to make other changes, such as layer color, linetype, etc. Perhaps that is not the case. In the layer properties manager, it shows that as the shortcut for new layer creation, but I just tried it, and it did not work on my computer. Not sure why, your results may be different than mine, hope so. Quote
MSasu Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Just call the -LAYER command - please notice the hypen in front, this will initiate the prompt version of command. It works for other commands, too. I'll also second Dadgad and say welcome to the Forum! Quote
narendra Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 Mircea, Thank you for your advice, -LAYER is exactly matched what I meant................ regards, narendra Quote
