evyxmsj
Hello all, I'm looking to export layer filters (but not the layers themselves) to use in another drawing. I saw someone posted a screenshot in 2009 of the layer palette, which had a button to do this. But I can't seem to find this functionality in 2014. Any tips? ReMark
DotSoft has a free tool that will export layer filters from a drawing. Find the zip file here... http://www.dotsoft.com/freestuff.htm

evyxmsj
It's not here? No, unfortunately not! Neither classic mode nor the layer palette gives that option, for ACAD Vanilla anyway. I heard they had it in R2009, but it was removed because adding an xref added in all the referenced files' layer filters...nightmare. I'll have to give the lsp option a try, though I'm sure I read somewhere that it only works with group filters. Still, if that is the only way! My only other idea is to create a template with all the filters I need, then purge the layers themselves...
