I've done a few searches with different keywords and didn't find it- apologies if it's been answered before. Occasionally settings just change, for no apparent reason. The most recent was the boss losing his open dialog box this morning. Thanks to the forums here, that's fixed. For the majority of my 2 1/2 years working on ACAD 2002 on this system, I've had the ability to drag and drop MTEXT items. No need to grab the anchor, just click on it to select, wait a split second, drag to new location. For some reason I can no longer do that. It shows me a little box on the cursor as I drag, but no dice- and I swear I can hear it chuckling at my frustration. Can anyone share what setting it is that got tripped, and how to get it back? Thanks! ETA: The same is now true for Ctrl+Dragging to copy the items. Quote

Aza Posted December 10, 2008 Author Posted December 10, 2008 I just tried it and it cackled. Like a madman. (Translation: it was already set to 1, so I toggled and tested, then toggled back and retested, no drag.) Is there anything else it could be? Quote

There's the silver lining and I have learnt that I can drag-n-drop text! that's the annoying thing, it works on ym computer (althouhg I had no idea until now) and I have no idea where it comes from....
