I am working in ADT 2007 and I am copy and paste'n bits from one file to another, but once I have done a couple I copy something else form another file and try and paste it into another it pastes something I copied a few minutes ago. it is very annoying, sometimes it even pastes something that I copied the previous day, in which while not at work I have shut my cimputer down, It seems to be rembering something in the actual file.

Any help at all please it gets very annoying.

also somethimes the only way around it is rather than using shortcuts use the menu at the top, though this only helps the problem 10% of the time

Perhaps an occasional delete the clipboard contents?

I keep an icon, desktop, Clipboard. Open the clipboard and it'll show the contents, delete the contents if you don't need 'em. Now the slate is clean.

When is the last time you shut down your computer? I shut mine down every night in order to clear out the cache so I start fresh every day. If you're pasting things from a few days ago, I would suggest cleaning the slate.

to be fair that shouldn't make that great of deal of a difference, when reffering to objects that have merly been copied or cut from something.
