Stanier
Hello - I am trying to draw up a globe valve for a model steam fitting and am having trouble in finding out how to blend two radii. Essentially the globe valve is a 7/16" diameter sphere with two inline connections at 180 degrees at 1/4" and 3/16" diameters respectively. My query is this. How do I blend (if that is the term) the central globe into the 180 degree connections to give that professional appearance and avoid the lolly pop-on-a-stick appearance. Kind regards
ReMark
Is this a 2D or 3D drawing?
Stanier
This is a 2D drawing
ReMark
Perhaps use the Circle command and the tan-tan-radius option? Post an image of what you have or attach a copy of the drawing to your next post.
ReMark
Here is an example of a 2D globe valve we've used on one of our steam mains. And here is an example of a 2D globe valve we've used on our cooling water lines. Both blocks were downloaded from another website and not created in house. ReMark
Stanier: Did you get your globe valve drawn? Can we see an image? Thanks.
