Mattburn87 Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 I am trying to set up an aerial view of a plaza and was wondering if there was a way to set a camera from where a viewpoint is while I orbit. In Sketchup you can capture the view in a similar manner and I wondered if there was a way in ACAD as well. Thanks Guys Quote
Lazarus Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Sure you can....from the top of my head: type "VIEW" in the command line while in orbit,it's gonna bring up a panel where you can create and save the current view. Quote
Mattburn87 Posted December 10, 2008 Author Posted December 10, 2008 The View Method did save a view, but not a camera that I could more easily edit until it matched the photo I was trying to model. I solved my problem in the drawing by setting the camera to my orbiting position then fidgiting with the placement until it worked. I would still be interested if there was a way to place the camera the same way the "saved view" is achieved. Quote
Lazarus Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 That's strange...when i save a view,it places a camera wich can be later modified to my desire. Quote
